KilgourMD products do not contain zinc pyrithione.The European Union banned zinc pyrithione (ZPT) from cosmetic products after regulatory reviews raised concerns based on animal studies, which suggested the potential for reproductive toxicity at certain exposure levels.Because KilgourMD is uncompromising when it comes to the safety and wellbeing of our customers, and formulates with global safety standards and long-term scalp health in mind, we made a deliberate decision not to include zinc pyrithione in our Shampoo.
